  Member's Criteria & Requirements  
 

1. General Membership

MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA: General membership is open to any duly registered corporation, partnership or single proprietorship that operates a medical transcription service organization (MTSO) and other healthcare documentation services.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS: A filled up application form along with a letter of intent must be submitted to MTIAPI Membership Committee together with SEC Registration Certificate (for corporation or partnership business type) or DTI Certificate (for single proprietorship) to prove the existence and legitimacy of the business entity. The applicant should also submit pertinent documents that would provide MTIAPI information about the company such as business profile, board of directors/investors information, annual revenues and among others.

An MTSO which is not yet in operation will be considered on probationary status for 6 months. The six-months probationary period can be extended to another six (6) months after review by the membership committee. Minimum requirements are attendance to one (1) general meeting during the probation period of six (6) months, payment of annual dues and adherence to the Code of Ethics.

MEMBERSHIP FEE: An MTSO applicant will be required to pay an annual fee of ten thousand pesos (Php10,000) while an MTSO-MTEO applicant (both an MT company and school) will be required to pay an annual fee of fifteen thousand pesos (Php15,000).

2. Associate Membership

MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA: Associate membership is open to any duly registered corporation or partnership or single proprietorship engaged in training of medical transcription or any educational institution providing medical transcription courses (MTEO).

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS: A filled up application form along with a letter of intent must be submitted to MTIAPI Membership Committee together with SEC Registration Certificate (for corporation or partnership business type) or DTI Certificate (for single proprietorship) to prove the existence and legitimacy of the business entity. The applicant should also submit pertinent documents that would provide MTIAPI information about the company such as business profile, board of directors/investors information, annual revenues and among others.

MEMBERSHIP FEE: Applicant will be required to pay an annual fee of ten thousand pesos (Php10,000).

3. Affiliate Membership

MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA:

Individual Membership. This is open to individuals who are employed by a General Member in executive, administrative, managerial or medical transcription position including independent consultants, potential investors, trainers and medical transcriptionists and editors.

Corporate Membership. This is open to any vendors providing products or services for the medical transcription industry and those, which support the objectives and activities of the industry.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS:

Individual Membership. A filled up application form along with a letter of intent must be initially submitted to MTIAPI Membership Committee. The individual applicant must submit a Certificate of Employment (COE) to prove that he/she conforms to affiliate membership criteria. If the applicant is a potential investor, he/she must submit a document indicating his/her initial plans of investing to medical transcription and of joining MTIAPI.

Corporate membership. A filled up application form along with a letter of intent must be submitted to MTIAPI Membership Committee together with SEC Registration Certificate (for corporation or partnership business type) or DTI Certificate (for single proprietorship) to prove the existence and legitimacy of the business entity. The applicant should also submit pertinent documents that would provide MTIAPI information about the company such as business profile, board of directors/investors information, annual revenues and among others.

MEMBERSHIP FEE: Individual applicant will be required to pay an annual fee of two thousand five hundred pesos (Php2,500) while corporate applicant will be required to pay ten thousand pesos (Php10,000).
