BPO trade show set for Feb. 11-12

The 2008 E-Services Global Sourcing Conference and Exhibition, the business process outsourcing (BPO) trade show, aiming to top the $34.4 million in revenue posted in the 2007 show, will be held Feb. 11-12 show at the SMX Convention Center.
Event organizer Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) said at least 100 firms would promote their businesses during show, which it said would highlight innovations especially in software development and the next wave of BPO cities, including the so-called e-hubs in the Cordillera-Ilocos area and the regions of Central Luzon, Western Visayas and Central Visayas, and the Davao-General Santos City area.
The event will showcase IT-enablers -- technology vendors and IT parks/ real estate developers -- and service providers engaged in animation, BPO, health information management, software development and creative e-services like games development and engineering design.
CITEM said more than half of the exhibitors would be small enterprises, and support would come from such industry groups as the Business Processing Association of the Philippines, Contact Center Association of the Philippines, Philippine Software Industry Association, Medical Transcription Industry Association of the Philippines, Animation Council of the Philippines, Game Developers Association of the Philippines and Design Process Council of the Philippines.
